OUR BRAND STRATEGY & DESIGN PROCESS
Great branding doesn't happen by accident.
It's built on insight, strategic thinking, and a genuine understanding of who you are, where you sit in your market, and what will genuinely resonate with your audience.
As a specialist branding agency, our process starts with brand strategy. Before we design anything, we dive deep into your business, your sector, and your strategic goals to create a foundation that makes everything else possible. Once the strategic groundwork is complete, you get to watch the real magic happen.
From discovery to delivery.
We guide every stage of your brand journey.
-

Research & strategy
Where we get under the skin of your business by
Reviewing your current brand presence if you have one; identifying what to keep, refine, or reinvent
Researching your audience, behaviours, motivations and expectations
Analysing competitors to uncover opportunities and differentiation
Defining strategic foundations to guide the creative process
By grounding creative decisions in research and insight, we build brands with purpose, ensuring your identity feels relevant, differentiated, and strategically positioned for growth.

Visual personality
Where strategy starts to get creative.
We create two moodboards for you, these play an essential role in bridging the gap between brand strategy and design. They are a collection of images used to capture the overall look, tone, and feel the brand aims to convey. They allow us to share a clear sense of the creative direction we feel the brand will go in before moving on to the design stage. Moodboards are a great tool to ensure everyone involved understands the intended style and personality of the brand.
By setting this visual clarity early on it makes the design process far more efficient as we are all on the same page from the get-go.

It's important to have a strong identity for your business and this doesn't mean just a logo in isolation. This means that every touch point (where your customers see or hear about your brand) must be coherent. Hubble will guide you through this process, starting with a detailed branding questionnaire, we take the time to understand your business, your goals, and your audience, giving us everything we need to help you build a brand that feels cohesive, distinctive, and built to last.

The logo is a key aspect of your overall brand, it's often the thing people see first and remember the most. A successful logo should work in both colour, and black and white (if you end up in the newspaper you'll thank us!) and it should work at every scale and across all mediums. It's no good designing for screen only to realize your logo won't scale up to billboard size when you've secured some brilliant ad space.

We can honestly say we have never had an unhappy client, the design processes is extremely collaborative, we engage with you at every stage and don't move on until you're happy with where it's at. If you were truly unhappy with the end result we always try our best to fix it...we want you to be as proud of your new brand as we are!

Creating a brand doesn't happen overnight but we've streamlined our process so that one stage progresses easily on to the next. The timing often depends on your industry requirements, but you're looking at around a six-week turnaround time.
-
Brands can’t stand still, they need to evolve alongside changing audiences, behaviours, and expectations. If sales are slowing or engagement is dropping, it could be a sign that your brand is no longer connecting with your audience in the way it once did.
Or perhaps you created your brand yourself in the early days and now feel ready to take it to the next level. Whatever stage your business is at, we can help refine and reposition your brand so it works harder for your product or service and supports your long-term growth.

A brand refresh often takes a similar amount of time to a rebrand (around 6 weeks), as we still need to evaluate the strength and suitability of the existing brand. While a refresh is ideal when you're confident in your positioning and audience, a rebrand allows us to reassess your market position, messaging and overall direction.
If you're unsure whether your business is positioned correctly within your sector, we'd typically recommend a rebrand. A rebrand provides the opportunity to build a stronger strategic foundation rather than simply updating the existing brand. If you need a speedier turnaround, chat with us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your timeline.

The answer is, of course you can. However, AI pulls from already existing logos. In fact, when we asked it to produce a logo for a design agency called Hubble, it gave us an almost direct replica of our own logo. Copyright can therefore be a huge concern. AI also rarely gives actual usable logo files, they are often overly complicated and don't produce well across all mediums.
Most importantly, brands are built for people. Audiences are becoming increasingly aware of AI-generated content, and many can spot it instantly. When a brand feels generic or formulaic, it can undermine credibility before you’ve even had a chance to make an impression. AI works by averaging existing content, but great branding comes from creating something distinctive, memorable, and tailored specifically to your business.
That’s not to say AI doesn’t have its place. There are plenty of tools that can support and streamline parts of the branding process once a strong identity exists. But when it comes to developing ideas, strategy, and creating a brand that genuinely stands out, human creativity still makes all the difference. -
Established businesses considering a rebrand have often already experienced some of the challenges mentioned above, declining engagement, reduced sales, or difficulty standing out in a crowded market. The benefits of rebranding can therefore be transformative: stronger recognition, increased engagement, improved sales, and a clearer position amongst competitors.
For more established brands, a refresh can also bring renewed energy and direction, not only for your internal team but for your audience too. It’s an opportunity to reintroduce your business with confidence, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and attract new ones along the way.
