Emma from the Playful Den needed fresh new branding to promote her playful living business. To position the brand firmly in the play space, and appeal to a broad age range, we needed to tip the balance away from childlike and create a feeling of fun that spanned generations. As an influencer, Emma was also looking for a solution that easily translated across social media channels.

Our design solution brought the fun on every level. The playful yet sophisticated type is a slightly formalised twist on bubble writing with an elongated swing on the ‘y’ bringing movement and flourish. Letters were placed on different levels to add bounce.

We then upped the fun factor with the surprising element of eyes playfully peeking at each other.

The colour palette was inspired by a mix of 1950s candy colours and bolder hues, with a touch of chocolate brown to ground the design.
